WHAT ARE NTO'S:

NTO's are USA Para Certified Officials
who can be the lead para official at a World Para Athletics
rules run Track & Field meet.

At National level meets the NTO would be
considered the Meet or Event Referee
-
WHY DO WE NEED USA NTO'S:
-
The USA needs 50 to 70 Para NTO Officials to
support Para Meets in the USA and possibly work as lead officials at the
2028 LA Paralympics.

WHO CAN BECOME AN NTO:
-
Any USA NATIONAL or MASTER level USATF
official in good standing can potenticially be
a WPA Para NTO.

WHAT IS THE CRITERIA TO BE
CONSIDERED TO BE A WPA NTO?

Work 2 or
more Para Meets per year.
(See the Para meet calendar on this
website,
MoveUnitedsports.org, USOPC or
the USATF sites. The calendar should be
published by 1/1
each year)

Get a Positive Official Evaluations
which Demonstrste:
-
You know the Para Track and
Field Rules.
-
You can Lead in your Para
Assignments both in the specific Event Lead and as a Meet
Referree.

You can work with others.
-
That you are worthy to work again at
that event or at a National/International level event
-
Attain an evaluation of 4.25 or better out of 5 over the evaluation
period.

IF I MEET
THE CRITERIA WHEN WOULD I BE INVITED TO THE USA NTO COURSE AND TEST?
-
At this time there will be 3 or more NTO courses
over the next 2 years.

The second course: Q1/2 of 2025.
Up to 30 to attend this course.

The third course: Q4 of 2027.
Up to 30 to attend this course.

HOW DO I KNOW I AM BEING INCLUDED IN
THE POOL OF OFFICIALS BEING EVALUATED FOR AN NTO INVITATION.
